Tai Chi Chuan

T'ai chi ch'uan or tàijíquán is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits. Though originally conceived as a martial art, it is also typically practiced for a variety of other personal reasons: competitive wrestling in the format of Pushing Hands (Tui Shou), demonstration competitions, and achieving greater longevity. As a result, a multitude of training forms exist, both traditional and modern, which correspond to those aims with differing emphasis.

Classes for all ages and ability

We offer a friendly and supportive environment in all of our classes. From beginner through advanced; students are encouraged to advance at their own speed and to Always be Comfortable (the ABC's of Tai Chi). Taijichuan means "a system of balance". This personal journey of finding ones balance through stillness and movement is the heart of Taijichuan. Please see the class descriptions section for information on all classes. The class schedule will show current classes.
